In the song "Song for You" by Alexi Murdoch there is this part of the song that I love...

And I see you hiding your face in your hands
    Talking bout far-away lands
    You think no one understands
    Listen to my hands

(He then goes on to play this beautiful section of music...) mmmm....

I am reading a book about Ayurvedic medicine. There are three elements - vata-pitta-kapha - they govern all the biological, psychological and physiopathological functions of the body, mind and consciousness. I am vata dosha.

I had a night of going to a friend's Christmas work party. I love watching people I don't know at a party. [arms around waists..around drinks...mouths moving...strange comments...uncomfortable stances...everyone wanting a piece of...something] Then we ended up in Williamsburg in search of a drummer for my friend Max's band. We went to a Tiki Bar with sand on the floor...loved it.

I sat at 14th street union sq for what felt like two hours. I met a girl. We chatted the whole way back home. I love making new friends. We hugged at the end of the night...I love when a stranger feels comfortable enough to be intimate in that way. Yes!

    I saw a photo of this woman...Jenny Shimizu...oh.oh.oh

    20. Naked Lunch by William S. Burroughs

"Walking in a rubbish heap to the sky...scattered gasoline fires....smoke hangs black and solid as excrement in the motionless air...smudging the white film of noon heat...D.L. walks beside me....a reflection of my toothless gums and hairless skull...flesh smeared over the rotting phosphorescent bones consumed by slow cold fires....He carries an open can of gasoline and the smell of gasoline envelops him....Coming over a hill of rusty iron we meet a group of Natives....flat two-dimension faces of scavenger fish..."Throw the gasoline on them and light it..."

    taking it in
I really do not like when something is stuck under one of my keyboard keys...my N is giving me trouble.

A full house is really a fantastic feeling. To look around at people just sprawled all over the place and chirping with happy laughter...is truly something exquisite. Also, when anyone makes food that makes my apartment smell like lettuce wraps full of garlic, ginger, and mushrooms...i'm a happy girl. A very happy girl.

    olives...are...delicious.

I was having a conversationnnnnn (sorry trying to get the n to work) with a co-worker today about where to take people in NYC. I realized that the first thing that popped into my mind was someplace with food and a view. Who knows what the view would be...but a view that could give the visitor a feeling of glee. Of.."Golly-gee-wiz! I am eating food in NYC." Cafes are the best for this feeling. Usually, a cafe, possibly to go, and a walk through the streets of NY or into a park. A walk tops it off. I mean...if people really want to see Times Sq...I guess they could. As long as we had a cafe somewhere with a view.
